The Cheapest Protection Your Chimney Can Get
An uncapped chimney is an open hole in your roof. Rain falls straight down the flue, soaking the interior masonry and the firebox. Raccoons, squirrels, and birds move in — and a nesting animal in a flue is a fire hazard and a mess. Leaves and debris accumulate. A stainless steel chimney cap solves all of it for a fraction of what any other chimney work costs.
If your chimney doesn't have a cap, this is the single highest-value thing you can do for it. If it has a rusted-out or damaged cap, replacing it is just as important.
What We Install
We install stainless steel caps — not galvanized, not painted cheap metal that rusts out in five years. Stainless handles the heat, the weather, and the acidic flue gases without corroding. Every cap includes a mesh spark arrestor (which also keeps animals out) sized to keep embers in and critters out without choking the draft.
- Single-flue caps mount directly to the flue tile — the standard for most homes.
- Multi-flue and top-mount caps cover the whole crown for chimneys with multiple flues, and add an extra layer of crown protection.
- Custom sizes for odd flue dimensions — we measure and fit, not force.
Cap + Crown: Do Them Together
If your crown is also failing, doing the crown rebuild and cap together is the smart move — the crew is already set up on the roof, and the two work as a system. We'll evaluate both during the inspection and quote them separately so you can decide.
Send the form — tell us whether your chimney currently has a cap and what condition it's in.
